Meet the Artist
Rebecca Parker is a researcher, designer, and folk artist whose work investigates how craft, food systems, and sustainability intersect across cultures and landscapes. Grounded in landscape architecture and informed by an interdisciplinary foundation in public health, environmental science, geography, anthropology, and design, her research applies a systems-thinking approach to examine how food ecologies and material culture function as both an environmental archives and expressions of resilience: preserving ecological knowledge, resourcefulness, and identity across generations and countries.
Through mixed-method and place-based inquiry, Rebecca explores how urban foodscapes, edible landscapes, and craft traditions contribute to ecological resilience and community well-being. Currently pursuing a postgraduate specialization in Landscape Architecture, she is deepening her expertise in regenerative design and climate-adaptive green spaces, drawing inspiration from Latin American and Indigenous frameworks of ecological stewardship, reciprocity, and collective care.
