Folk Art Portfolio
Artist Statement
.jpeg)
I am a folk artist exploring various mediums including acrylic and watercolor paint, mosaic, textiles, drawing, collage, and mixed media. Beyond visual art, I am a maker in my home—through decorating, cooking, and dressing—and professionally as a branding and marketing specialist. Across all of these forms, I see design as a way of shaping not only aesthetics but relationships, values, and care.
My art practice weaves botanical and symbolic motifs, drawing inspiration from both tradition and pop culture. I’m drawn to tones that are playful and unapologetically feminine, embracing color, ornament, and pattern as languages of joy, resilience, and connection.
My work is an expression of care, and most of my pieces are made as gifts for loved ones—prayers, wishes for abundant years, and good luck & love charms. I believe that the design of both art and the everyday can and should nurture relationships and cultivate belonging. My practice blurs the boundaries between craft and daily life, treating making itself as an act of care, cultural continuity, and celebration of community and place.
